We are firm believers that wine needs to be demystified and that people must enjoy it as they please at their leisure.
Our Wines
Eight Quality Boutique Wines.
White Wines
We only make one white grape, a Chardonnay. We have an Oaked Chardonnay (for the mature palate) and Unoaked Chardonnay (for easy drinking).
The Oaked Chardonnay is a complex nose of leads with citrus, lemon tree flowers, white peach and fresh coconut complemented with a floral tone that underscores its minerality. The zesty palate with notes of orange rind is softened by lees contact, leading to a lingering finish.
The Unoaked Chardonnay is dry, mediumbodied wine with moderate acidity with elegant orange and yellow fruit: citrus, papaya, lemon and pineapple.
Red Wines
Our four Red Wines include: Outspoken Red Blend, Lady Selbourne Merlot, Khibidu Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon.
Our Red Blend - Outspoken is full bodied, spicy with a lot of ripe fruit and pleasantly dry tannins. Good maturation prospects of between 5 to 7 years.
Lady Selbourne Merlot - The Long ripening in 2020 gave the grapes time to ripen the tannins to a gentle softness whilst retaining the black plum fruit. Add to this an extract of dried fruits and this wine will pair with the greatest of slow aged streaks or even barbequed lamb ribs, The wine will only get better with a great ageing potential.
khibidu Shiraz - A dark red wine with ripe fruit flavours of redberry, plum, blackberry and spice with hints of black pepper. The palate is complex and refreshing with a good acidity. The aromas from the nose follow through to the palate with a savoury, mineral finish.
Cabernet Sauvignon - Full bodied with exotic dark and red fruit: cassis purple plum and red cherries.
OUR BUBBLY
Lali Wines currently has two Cap Classiques: the Brut Sec and Brut Rose.
Yes, A Brut Sec, that's not a typo. We choose to call her Brut Sec because she's not dry nor is she sweet. A perfect wedding/celebrations wine because it covers all palates.
Brut Sec
Produced from Pinot Noir grapes, this Méthode Cap Classique boasts an elegant pink hue with delicate bubbles, fresh strawberry aroma on the nose and pure Pinot Noir notes of dark berries on the palate.
Brut Rose
Do not be fooled by the pink, she is actually very dry. Produced from 100% Chardonnay grapes. Brioche indulgence and richness - on the palate a flourish of the finest bubbles release decadent fruit and biscuity decadence.
